Her parents were Albert Moore and Laura Saunders Applewhite. She was the widow of Charles Walter Dickens and the daughter of Albert Moore and Mrs. Laura Saunders Applewhite. Mrs. Dickens was native of Southampton County, she was a member of the Courtland Methodist Church. Surviving is one daughter Mrs. Willie Dickens Marks and son-in-law Frank L. Marks of Capron. A funeral service was conducted on Monday at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home by the Rev. Bryon S. Halstead pastor of the Courtland Methodist Church and the Rev. J.S. Peebles of the Capron Church. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Courtland. Pallbearers were: Carl L. Jinnette, Thomas Vaughan, Claude Applewhite, Emmett Applewhite, W.T. Bryant, tom Marks, Lon Marks, and Gilbert Turner. Laura Rebecca (APPLEWHITE; Mrs. Charles W.)
