Deal died at his home here Monday morning at 10 o'clock in his 76 year. Mr. Deal was one of the oldest and most highly esteemed citizens of this section and was universally respected for his many sterling qualities. He had been a deacon in the Boykins Baptist church for many years and was one of its most useful and consistent members. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock from his late residence, the service being conducted by his pastor, Rev. H.P. Dalton, and the interment followed in the family burying ground. He is survived by one son, Luther Deal of Baltimore; three daughters, Mrs. Mollie Williams of Wilmington, N.C., Mrs. R.F. Vinson of this comunity and Miss Minnie Deal of Boykins, and five grandchildren.
