Holland & Sons Funeral Home by the Rev. Ira D. Hudgins of Franklin Baptist Church. Burial was in Southampton Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Garland Beale, Earl Drewry, Eddie Phillips, Edward Rainey, Fred Rabil and Jasper Story. Denson, 72, a retired farmer died early Wednesday in Medical College of Virginia Hospital Richmond, after a long illness. He was the husband of Mrs. Jennie Barrett Denson and a son of Hack and Mrs. Martha Faison Denson. A native of Sussex County, he was a member of Franklin Baptist Church. Besides is widow, surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Fannie D. Spain and Mrs. Naomi D. Rainey of Franklin; four sisters, Mrs. Emma Goode of Richmond, Mrs. Mary Brockwell of Hopewell, Mrs. Susie Lane of Petersburg, and Mrs. Iola Arpo of Ettrick; two brothers, Dennis M. Denson of Petersburg and James L. Denson of Richmond; and 10 grandchildren.
