MARY ELIZABETH BABB DENSON 

   Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Denson, 63, widow of John R. Denson, died at a Norfolk 
hospital yesterday at 6:45 a.m.  She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. John 
Egas, of Norfolk; two sons, Alfred L., of Norfolk and Henry O. Denson, of 
Richmond; two sisters, Mrs. G.W. Brittingham, of Courtland, and Mrs. Ross 
Morris, of Norfolk, 18 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  She was a 
native of Southampton County, and had resided in Norfolk 32 years.

   Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home 
Thursday at 2 p.m.  Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Mary's D.Cert. (2231 {Kempsville #5}) gives her father as Robert Joseph Babb; 
   however, his 1885 marriage record gives Robert T. (Southampton Co. MB5:440) 

He is buried in Riverside Cemetery, Courtland - Episcopal Section, Plot 25.

Her mother, Annie Lee EDWARDS, 2m. Benjamin F. JOHNSON & 3m. Samuel J. MELSON. 
   Her obit ("Virginian-Pilot," Dec. 4, 1929) gives burial "in the family 
   cemetery," but her D.Cert. (29877) gives burial in Courtland. 
   Apparently unmarked, she has been added to her husband's plot.
