Mrs. Dundlow, a native of Isle of Wight County, was the widow of John H. Dundlow. She was a Protestant. Survivors include three daughters, Hattie Mae Dundlow of Suffolk, Mildred Raiford of Hampton and Lily Lee Darden of Franklin; two sons, Willie H. Dundlow of Chesapeake and Cadd E. Dundlow of Franklin; a sister, Eulice Darden of Suffolk; 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two great- great-grandchildren. The funeral was conducted Tuesday in Wright Funeral Home by the Rev. Paul Dingus. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Essie (WILLIFORD*; Mrs. John H. His D.Cert. (#22738 {Holy Neck #17}) states he was buried at Franklin, 3 Oct 1944, by W.J.M. Holland & Sons, Inc. Apparently unmarked, he has been added to the cemetery list. No mention of the incident was found in the next few issues of "The Smithfield Times."
