Ben B. Ussery. Burial was in Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins. Pallbearers were Joe Draper, L.F. Draper Jr., Jack Draper, R.F. Marks Jr., Albert Lassiter, Raymond Francis, Bernard Eckenrode, Joseph W. Washington and George Scott. Draper, 69, died Monday morning in his home. A native of North Carolina, he was the husband of Mrs. Gladys Francis Draper and a son of Andrew J. and Mrs. Maggie Conner Draper. He was a retired electrician of Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He was a member of Boykins Methodist Church and former resident of Suffolk. Besides his widow, surviving are a son, Homer V. Draper Jr. of Boykins; two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn D. Brown of Rocky Mount, N.C. and Mrs. Nancy D. Parker of Boykins; three brothers, L. Felton Draper Sr. of Boykins, Godwin W. Draper and Leslie Draper of Richmond; three sisters, Mrs. Vivian D. Farmer of Boykins, Mrs. Helen Wakefield of Kendall, Fla., and Mrs. Dorothy Thompson of Ormand Beach, Fla.; and eight grandchildren.
