EMMETT WALTER DRAKE 

   A funeral service for Emmett Walter Drake was conducted Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. 
in W.J.M. Holland & Sons (Funeral) Home by the Rev. John W. Williams. Entombment 
was in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, Driver.  Pallbearers were Charlie L. 
Holland, Norman Begholn, Marvin Worrell, Cotton Johnson, Genie Drake, W.T. 
(Buster) Johnson, Roy Secton, Walter Franklin Drake and bobby Worrell. 

   Drake, 68, died Friday afternoon in Cocoa, Fla., hospital. 

   A native of Southampton County, he was a son of John H. and Mrs. Josephine 
Bishop Drake and the husband of Mrs. Estelle Lundquist Drake. 

   He was a member of Sunbeam Baptist Church of Franklin and a retired 
maintenance superintendent for Virginia Highway Department. 

   Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Emmett W. Drake Jr. of Cocoa; two 
sisters, Mrs. Clara Whitfield of Franklin and Mrs. Louis Boone of Portsmouth; 
two brothers, Carol Drake of California and four grandchildren.
