A native of Brunswick County, she was the daughter of William Thomas Phillips and Carrie Lynch Phillips, and the widow of Roy Lee Drake. She is survived by two sons, Carlton Lee Drake of Norfolk and Danny Ray Drake of Franklin; one sister, Mrs. Lucy Ann Epps of Newport News; two brothers, H.W. (Pete) Phillips of Emporia and Robert W. (Jack) Phillips of Skippers; five grandchildren. Funeral will be conducted Wednesday, 3 p.m. in the McDowell Funeral Home, Boykins, by the Rev. Ira Hudgins.
