DRAKE Mrs. Gabie Beale Drake, 54, died Tuesday morning in Raiford Memorial Hospital. A daughter of Willie and Effie Turner Beale, she was a lifelong resident of Black Creek community, Southampton County, and a member of Black Creek Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Olin D. Drake; a sister, Mrs. C.E. Womble of Franklin, nieces and nephews. Services were held in Holland and Sons Funeral Home Thursday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Len B. Allen of Black Creek Church. Burial was in the family cemetery near Sedley. Pallbearers were J.A. Surace, William Bradshaw, George H. Hedgepeth, J.S. Harcum, Robert Gray and Elisha Joyner.
