RAYMOND PORTER DRAKE 

   NEWSOMS - Raymond Porter Drake, 23, son of Russell and Mrs. Nannie Porter 
Drake, died at his home here early Monday morning, August 11, after a long 
period of ill health.

   Surviving besides his parents is a brother, Sammie Drake, also of Newsoms.

   Funeral services were held from the chapel of W.J.M. Holland & Sons on 
Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 o’clock, with Rev. L.F. Smith, pastor of Newsoms 
Baptist Church, and Rev. O.L. Gochenour, pastor of Newsoms Methodist Church, 
officiating.

   Interment was in the Newsoms Cemetery.  Pallbearers were J.C. Bunn, W.T. 
Drake, Dr. J.J. Grizzard, Aubrey Story, Morris Worrell, W.F. Worrell, Jr., 
and W. Marvin Worrell, Jr.
