GEORGIE EDWARDS DARDEN

   FRANKLIN - Georgie Edwards Darden, 86, died Oct. 25, in a Newport News 
hospital.

   Mrs. Darden, a native and a life-long resident of Southampton County, 
was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church.

   Survivors include her husband, Theon A. Darden; two daughters, Shirley D. 
Bunch of Suffolk and Betty D. Pugh of Front Royal; a son, Theon A. Darden Jr. 
of West Point; 12 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

   The funeral was conducted Tuesday in Sycamore Baptist Church by the Rev. 
Reginald Warren.  Burial was in the church cemetery.

   Memorial donations may be made to the Sycamore Baptist Church Building 
Fund or to the American Cancer Society.
