DARDEN FRANKLIN - March 11 - Richard Darden, 82, well known farmer, resident of Southampton County died today at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J.T. Harrell of Holland, with whom he had made his home since the death of his wife 25 years ago. Besides his daughter, he is survived by three sons, Walter Darden of New York; J.W. Darden, of Boykins, and J.C. Darden of Norfolk; 11 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock at Sycamore Baptist church, of which he was one of the charter members, by the Rev. N.G. Newman of Holland; the Rev. Floyd P. Davis and the Rev. W.H. Corbitt. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Richard E.
