WILLIAM MOSEBY DARDEN

   William Moseby Darden, 60 years of age, who made his home in Franklin for a 
number of years, died Wednesday night, December 19, at the U.S. Veterans’ 
Hospital, Kecoughtan, Va., where he had been a patient for several weeks.  Mr. 
Darden was born in Nansemond County at South Quay, and will be remembered by 
many of our citizens.

   Funeral services will be held from the H.D. Oliver Funeral Home, Norfolk, 
Sunday afternoon at 1:30, with committed services and burial in Poplar Spring 
Cemetery here Sunday afternoon, December 23, at 3:30 o’clock, conducted by 
Rev. R.D. Stephenson.
