WILLIAM LITTLE DARDEN

   FRANKLIN - A funeral service for William Little Darden was conducted Sunday 
at 2 p.m. in Newsoms Cemetery by the Rev. Allen Lawrence and the Dr. Ira D. 
Hudgins.  W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home was in charge.

   Pallbearers were Charles Edward Ward, Harry B. Ward, Rufus Darden, Carl 
Picot, Hugh Picot, Rosser Bryant, Robert C. Councill Jr., Linwood Lee Pope and 
W.M. Camp Jr.

   Darden, 65, died Friday afternoon in a hospital.

   A native of Southampton County, he was a son of John B. and Mrs. Georgia 
Little Darden and the husband of Mrs. India Bartlett Darden.

   He was a member of Newsoms Baptist Church.

   Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Joanne Kelly of 
Edison, N.J.; a sister, Mrs. Thomas S. Burbage of Baltimore; and two grandsons.
