He was a native of Brunswick County and the son of Percival and Mrs. Susie Rideout Drummond. He was the husband of the late Sally Clary Drummond and was a retired farmer. He is survived by his stepmother, Mrs. Edna C. Drummond of Lawrenceville; three sons, Edward T. Drummond of Boykins, W. Bryan Drummond of Murfreesboro and Eual F. Drummond of Edgewater, Md.; a daughter, Mrs. Adaline Clary of Cheverly, Md., and a half-sister, Mrs. Lena R. Moore of Lawrenceville, six grandchildren. A funeral service was held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at H.M. Purviance Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ben B. Ussery, pastor of the Boykins Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in Beechwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Marvin Reid, C.W. Howell, Jr., Thomas R. Jones, James R. Jones, Robert Daughtrey, Marvin Worrell and Jesse Lowe.
