A native of Franklin, he was a son of Charlie Drewry and Mrs. Munford Babb. Besides his parents, he is survived by a sister, Mrs. Peggy D. Faher of Norfolk; two brothers, Michael Drewry and David L. Drewry of Franklin; and a half sister, Miss Connie Babb, and a half brother, Oscar Babb, both of Franklin. A funeral service was conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in Southampton Memorial Park by the Rev. I.D. Hudgins of Franklin Baptist Church. Pallbearers were Cadd Dunlow, Garnet Whitley, Donald Pagett, Frankie Bradshaw, Jimmie Powers and James Justice. Charles Lester DREWRY, Franklin native, d. 6 Jan 1966, Lynchburg, age 27, interred in Southampton Memorial Park (Christus II, Plot 66*), 8 Jan 1966, "The Tidewater News" (Franklin, VA), Jan. 10, 1966 *His father is also buried there - Devotion I, Plot 97.
