EUNICE DREWRY Mrs. Eunice Griffin Drewry, the young wife of Reginald Drewry, died Monday, May 22, at 5:30 a.m., in the home of Mr. Drewry’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.S. Drewry. No one could be more greatly missed in the community than she. She was 20 years of age and was a consistent member of Black Creek Baptist Church. She was leader of Group No. 4 for the B.Y.P.U. and a valuable Y.W.A. worker in the church. Mrs. Drewry had been married only five months. She was a woman of quiet, unobtrusive nature and upright character and always had a sunny smile for everyone she met. She leaves to mourn their loss a devoted husband, Reginald Drewry, mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Griffin, four sisters, Mrs. Hunter Blythe, Mrs. B. Edwards, Mrs. I.L. Carter and Miss Odell Griffin, three brothers, Hunter, Burnley and Floyd Griffin, besides many other relatives and a host of friends. The high esteem in which she was held was attested by the great number of people who attended her funeral and the abundance of floral designs given by her friends. The funeral was held Tuesday at 2:30 o’clock p.m. by her pastor, Rev. C.L. Eubank, in the home of J.S. Drewry, after which the body was laid to rest in the family cemetery to await the resurrection morn.
