William L. Cribb. Burial was in the Black Creek Baptist Church cemetery. Pallbearers were D.S. Edward, Jr., Grant Brock, James Hatfield, August Bradshaw, Linwood Bradshaw, Willie Bradshaw, Cecil Edwards and Reginald Bradshaw. Drewry died Saturday, Jan. 20 at 4:35 a.m. in Southampton Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. A native of Southampton County, he was a son of Samuel J. and Mrs. Martha Louise Edwards Drewry and the husband of Mrs. Annie Mae Corbitt Drewry. He was a member of Black Creek Baptist Church, a deacon, and former treasury of the church. He was Army veteran of World War I and a retired farmer. Besides his wife, he is survived by a brother, Aurelius Edwards Drewry of Zuni; three nieces, Miss Martha Lou Drewry, Mrs. Elsie Beasley and Mrs. Nell Pittman, three nephews, Fenton Earl Drewry, George Samuel Drewry and Wilbur Drewry.
