William D. Hudson, the Rev. Daniel K. Ivy and the Rev. James T. Campbell. Burial was in Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins, with McDowell Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers were Samuel B. Drewry, John H. Drewry Jr., Madison B. Drewry, Samuel E. Pope, Eppa Prince, George Prince, Etheridge Hood, Herbert Hood, and Dr. Mills Britt. Drewry, 85, died Sunday in Southampton Memorial Hospital, Franklin. A native of Southampton County, he was the husband of Mrs. Lucy Moore Drewry and a son of Samuel Blount and Mrs. Roberta Moss Drewry. He was a retired employee of Seaboard Air Line Railroad. He was a 50-year member of the brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen and member of Boykins United Methodist Church. Besides his widow, surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Betty D. Bamman of Virginia Beach; a son, Joseph S. Drewry Jr. of Atlanta; two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Prince of Capron and Mrs. J.S. Schneider of Boykins; a brother, J. Herman Drewry of Boykins; and five grandchildren.
