JOHN BENJAMIN DREWRY

   SEDLEY - John Benjamin Drewry, 85, retired farmer, died Sunday in a 
Franklin hospital after a brief illness.

   The husband of Mrs. Lottie Munford Drewry and the son of John Tyler and 
Mrs. Mary Councill Drewry of Southampton County, he was a native of Sedley 
Baptist Church.

   Survivors include his widow; three sons, Charlie Drewry of Franklin, John 
J. Drewry of Courtland and Benjamin H. Drewry of Norfolk; three daughters, 
Miss Ruth Odell Drewry of Sedley, Mrs. D.A. Giarmono of Portsmouth and Mrs. 
Lewis H. Holland of Courtland; a sister, Mrs. Susie Bryant of Boykins, and six 
grandchildren.

   A funeral service will be conducted in Sedley Baptist Church today (Monday) 
at 4 p.m. by the Rev. C.L. Gatlin, pastor, with burial in Rosemont Cemetery.
