He was born March 28, 1905, the son of the late David B. Drewry, M.D. and Bessie Crews Drewry Leigh. He was the widower of the late Sarah Elizabeth Joyner Drewry. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Mamie Leigh Nottingham of Norfolk; one niece, Mrs. Betsy Nottingham Mendelson of Salisbury, Mass.; three nephews, Burton L. Drewry of South Hill, Dr. David B. Drewry of Petersburg, and John E. Nottingham IV of Alexandria; four great-nieces; five great-nephews. Graveside services 3 p.m. Wednesday at Drewryville, Va. The family will receive friends at the residence in Drewryville after 5 p.m. Tuesday. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Capron Rescue Squad, the Virginia Chapter of the Heart or Cancer Fund, or to the Drewryville Methodist Church.
