All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ PAUL WHITE DREWRY Paul White Drewry, 82, for many years agent of the Southern Railway at Capron, died in a Richmond hospital on Saturday night, August 18, after a long period of ill health. Mr. Drewry was the husband of Mrs. Susie Barham Drewry of Capron and son of the late James David Humphrey and Martha Francis Drewry of Southampton County. He was a member of Clarksbury Methodist Church. Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. T.C. Lassiter of Windsor, N.C., and Mrs. Helen D. Chappelle of Capron; one son, Brig. Gen. Guy H. Drewry of West Hartford, Conn.; six grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Last rites were conducted at the grave in the Capron Cemetery on Monday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock by Rev. R.H. Marks. The active pallbearers were Guy H. Drewry, Jr., William P. Drewry, Dr. J.J. Grizzard, T.C. Lassiter, T.D. Lassiter, Jr., and L.R. Magee.
