DREWRY Roger McKinley Drewry, 55, a lifelong resident of Southampton County and an employee of Union Bag Camp Paper Corporation, died on Friday afternoon, April 12, at his home near Zuni. He was the husband of Mrs. Lettie Lankford Drewry and the son of the late John and Ellen Hatfield Drewry. He was a member of Black Creek Baptist Church. Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Martha Boykins; three sons, Bobby M., Ray A. and Jimmy L Drewry, all of Zuni.; a brother, W.E. Drewry of Burdette; two sisters, Mrs. S.L. Lowe of Ivor and Mrs. L.H. Lowe of Zuni; three grandchildren, R.W., Glenda and Ronnie Boykins of Zuni; and several niece and nephews. The body was taken from the Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, on Sunday; and funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. at Black Creek Baptist Church by Rev. Len B. Allen, pastor, assisted by Rev. R.E. Brittle and Rev. E.C. Thornton. Burial was in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers were Arthur Carr, Robert Lowe, Haywood Lowe, Edward Drewry, George S. Drewry, Elbert Creech, Alvin Brock and Reuben Barrett. Honorary pallbearers were the Men's Bible Class and friends of the family. [Roger McKinley DREWRY, d. 12 Apr 1957, age 55, bd.
