He was 27 years of age and had been a member of Black Creek Baptist Church for several years. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at his home by his Pastor, Rev. R.E. Vellins, assisted by Rev. R.H. Corbitt. The Black Creek choir sang, "Will There Be Any Stars in My Crown?" "Safe in the Arms of Jesus" and "Abide With Me." There were many beautiful floral present. He is survived by his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. J.S.* Drewry, and five brothers, R.S., E.A., I.D., A.E. and W.R. Drewry. Active pallbearers were Hoen and Talmadge Edwards, William and Roger Drewry, Arthur Drewry, Floyd Joyner, A.M. Hann and M.H. Lowe. Honorary pallbearers were friends of the family. Interment was made in the family cemetery. (Rt. 643) & Governor Darden Rd. (Rt. 646), but there is nothing to suggest that this is the same family.
