Frost, ROBERT H. DREWRY, son of the late Virginia G. Darden and E.F. Drewry, of Southampton County, Va. He was born August the 18th, 1879 in Southampton County. He was in Salt Lake City when he was taken sick with sarcoma of the throat, and went to Baltimore for radium treatment. On January the 4th, after weeks of intense suffering the end came. It was a long and tedious illness, but cheerfully, uncomplainingly he bore his suffering, which was alleviated as much as possible by the best medical skill of Baltimore and Richmond. He is survived by his four brothers and three sisters, who live in this city - Arthur W., Samuel T., Jesse F. and J. Raymond, Mrs. F.H. Frost, Mrs. F.E. West and Mrs. W.A. Wallace. He was interred in Riverview Cemetery. Robert H. (Find a Grave Mem. #181800085) His mother (23 Feb 1857 - 22 May 1901) is also buried there. D.Cert. 874 (Richmond #17) gives his mother as Jennie. E.F. DREWRY, merchant, 35, m. Jennie G. DARDEN, 20, daughter of Wm.H. & Adeline R. [HOOD] DARDEN, 23 Jan 1877, at his mother-in-law's. (Southampton Co. MB3:111) Evander F. DREWRY was postmaster of Ivor, 3 Jan 1882 - 13 Jul 1885. A Confederate veteran, he applied for a pension 1 Jul 1900 in Henrico Co. He rose from Sgt. to Capt. of the Southampton Grays (D/3rd VA Inf.). The family appears in the 1900 Census at 1811 Dance St., Tuckahoe Dist., Henrico Co., with both Evander & Robert as day laborers. The block, later in Richmond, is no longer extant.
