She was a daughter of Otis M. Joyner of Courtland and the late Mrs. Lila Westbrook Joyner. She was a lifelong resident of Southampton County school system [sic] and was active in church and civic organizations. Besides her father, she is survived by her widower James L. Drewry of Drewryville, and a brother O.M. Joyner, Jr., of Courtland. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at 3 p.m. in Drewryville Cemetery by Rev. Joseph S. Peebles of Drewryville Methodist Church. Pallbearers were Edwin Cobb, Morton Cobb, W.R.L. Cobb, Edwin Westbrook, Hugh Westbrook, John Westbrook, S.L. Johnson, Oliver Johnson and Elwood Duncan.
