ELIZABETH RICHARD EVANS

   FRANKLIN - Elizabeth Richard Evans, 82, of Fourth Ave., a retired teacher, 
died May 19, in her home.

   Miss Evans, a Franklin native, retired from West Edgecombe High School, 
Rocky Mount, N.C., and Franklin High School.  She was a member of High Street 
United Methodist Church and a graduate of the Women’s College of Greenboro.

   Survivors include a sister, Bertha E. Thompson of Rocky Mount.

   A graveside service was conducted Friday in Poplar Spring Cemetery by the 
Rev. A.D. Goodson.  Wright Funeral Home handled arrangements.
