Ira D. Hudgins. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery with W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers were R.B. Allport, C.C. Gouldman, J.R. Howerton, A.G. Miller, Paul Councill, Jessie Gardner Jr., Milton McKann, and T.A. Vaughan. Mrs. Evans, 51, of 217 Robin Hood Road died Monday morning in Southampton Memorial Hospital. A native of Franklin, she was the wife of Ernest Gwynn Evans and a daughter of Mrs. Lillie Cox Bradshaw of Franklin and the late Elmer A. Bradshaw, Sr. She was a member of the Franklin Baptist Church and taught in the primary department 35 years, was choir mother, member of the Organ Committee, and treasurer of the Woman’s Missionary Union. Besides her husband and mother, surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Lucy Evans Johnson of Franklin and Mrs. Mary Evans Darden of Carrsville; a son, James Wesley Evans of Franklin; two brothers, Burton C. Bradshaw and Elmer A. Bradshaw Jr. of Franklin; a sister, Mrs. Marian D. DeBor of Quincy, Fla.; and two grandchildren. [Sara (BRADSHAW; Mrs. Ernest G.)
