The deceased was the wife of Frank E. Everett of Southampton County, and a daughter of the late Richmond T. Fiers and Mrs. Nannie Thorpe Fiers. A lifelong resident of Southampton County, she was a member of Barnes Methodist Church. Besides her husband she is survived by a sister, Mrs. Kelly R. Bishop of Handsom, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at 4 o’clock at Barnes Methodist Church, with Rev. O.L. Gochenour, pastor of the church, and Rev. Roy Everett, pastor of Providence Methodist Church, Richmond, officiating. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery, Franklin. Pallbearers were Harry Barrett, Jr., Ralph Barrett, L.L. Thorpe, John W. Bryant, Jr., W.R. Emmons, Douglas Griffin, Stanley Myrick and James Story.
