He was the husband of the late Mrs. Amorette Fiers Everett and a son of Caleb and Mrs. Betty Gillette Everett of Southampton County. He was a retired carpenter and a lifelong resident of Newsoms community. He was a member of Barnes Methodist Church. Surviving are two brothers, Ben W. Everett of Norfolk and Caleb R. Everett of Newsoms and one sister, Mrs. C.A. Worrell of Newsoms. A funeral service was conducted at W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home today (Monday) at 2:30 p.m. by the Rev. H.W. Landis, pastor of Barnes Methodist Church. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery, Franklin. Pallbearers were R.E. Drake, Jr., Everett Barrett, Joe Everett, Harry Barrent, Jr., Ralph Barrett and P.G.
