Holland & Sons Funeral Home by the Rev. Edwin C. Thornton. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers were Russell Joyner, James E. Joyner, Marshall Beale, Howard Beale, P.B. Butler Jr., Steven Butler Jr., Julian Butler and Emerson Holland. Mrs. Eason, 70, died Saturday morning in a hospital. A native of Isle of Wight County, she was a daughter of James H. and Mrs. Alida Hedgepeth Butler and the widow of Sidney P. Eason. She was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church and Eastern Star and a retired dietician of Carrsville School. She is survived by five sons, Theodore P. Eason of Carrsville, Joseph P. Eason of Hyattsville, Md., Carl E. Eason of Windsor, Reidell H. Eason of Waverly, and Sidney Elmo Eason of Franklin; three daughters, Mrs. Edith Beyke of Fairfax, Mrs. Virginia Gaves of Baltimore, and Mrs. Patricia Grinnan of Norfolk; four sisters, Mrs. Madge Pollard of Portsmouth, Mrs. Maude Holland of Franklin, Mrs. Mamie Beale of Holland, and Mrs. Blanche Joyner of Walters; two brothers, Stephen Butler and Presley Butler of Carrsville; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
