Edwards, who died at his home in the Sycamore community Wednesday, were conducted this (Friday) afternoon at three o’clock at Sycamore Baptist Church by Rev. Floyd P. Davis; his pastor, pallbearers being W.O. Bristow, Lee Vaughan, R.C. Branch, George Watkins, P. Ryland Camp, Jesse McClenny, Collier Edwards and Willie Cotton. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery here. Mr. Edwards, a well-known farmer of his community, is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lillie Whitley Edwards; three sons, B.F., Jr., William and Hurley Edwards of the Franklin community; five daughters, Mrs. J.H. Hill of Boykins, and Misses Jennie, Grace, Jessie and Ruth Edwards of the community; two brothers, Paul Edwards of Newsoms and Jim Edwards of Como, N.C.; two sisters, Mrs. Jim Whitley of Como and Mrs. Ida Ballard of Norfolk.
