DAISY MANNING NICHOLSON EDWARDS 

   VIRGINIA BEACH - A funeral for Daisy Edwards, 92, was held Tuesday at 
2 p.m. in Poplar Spring Cemetery, Franklin, by the Rev. Milford C. Rollins.

   Edwards died Saturday in her home.

   A native of Southampton County, she was the widow of Samuel Robert Edwards.

   Mrs. Edwards was a great niece of the Confederate Gen. Thomas Jonathan 
(Stonewall) Jackson.  She attended St. John’s United Methodist Church.

   Survivors include a daughter, Evelyn Drumwright of Virginia Beach; three 
sisters, Pearl N. Wells of Houston, Ruby N. Mekenon of Hampton and Mary N. 
Moody of Scottsville; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
