All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ ESTELLA VIRGINIA JOYNER EDWARDS NORFOLK - Mrs. Estelle Virginia Edwards, 65, wife of Luther Edwards, Sr. and daughter of the late Euclid D. and Mrs. Adeline Yoke Joyner, died yesterday at 2 p.m. at a Norfolk hospital. Mrs. Edwards was a native of Portsmouth and had been a resident of Norfolk most of her life, residing at 1410 West 37th St. at the time of her death. Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, J.C. Edwards and Luther Edwards, Jr. of Norfolk; three daughters, Mrs. R. Harrell of Portsmouth, Mrs. F.R. Dailey and Mrs. E.J. Wright of Norfolk; 21 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Johnnie Joyner of Courtland; two sisters, Mrs. Eugene Crisp of Norfolk and Mrs. Jacob Lane of Wakefield, and a number of nieces and nephews. Services will be conducted at the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. by the Rev. Samuel T. Harris, Jr., pastor of Coleman Place Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
