He was a son of the late William and Louise Webb Edwards of Southampton County, and a member of the Sedley Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Martha Cobb Edwards of Sedley; four daughters, Mrs. Herman Bradshaw, Mrs. Clifton Wade and Mrs. Julian Whitley, all of Franklin, and Miss Bonnie Edwards of Sedley; seven grandchildren; three brothers, W.F. and C.C. Edwards, both of Franklin, and D.S. Edwards of Zuni; a sister Mrs. Percy Bradshaw of Franklin; and several nephews and nieces. Funeral services for Mr. Edwards were conducted at 2:30 o’clock Wednesday afternoon at the Black Creek Baptist Church by his pastor, Rev. L.M. Kanipe, assisted by Rev. R.D. Stephenson and Rev. J.C. Lanning. Burial was in the church cemetery at Black Creek.
