HAZEL EVANS EDWARDS

   FRANKLIN - A funeral service for Mrs. Hazel Evans Edwards, 71, was held 
Saturday at 11 a.m. in Poplar Spring Cemetery by the Rev. Jeremy Galloway. 
Wright Funeral Home was in charge.

   Mrs. Edwards died Thursday in Southampton Memorial Hospital.

   A native of Franklin, she was the widow of Herbert Edwards.

   She was a member of High Street United Methodist Church and the church 
circles, the Franklin Woman’s Club, and Southampton Garden Club.

   Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Florence E. Joseph of Winston-Salem, 
N.C., and Mrs. Harriett E. Bradshaw of Manassas; two sisters, Miss Elizabeth 
Evans and Mrs. Robert Thompson of Rocky Mount, N.C.; two brothers Ernest Evans 
of Franklin and Jack Evans of Suffolk; and two grandchildren.
