HENRY DAIL EDWARDS

FUNERAL RITES HELD FOR TRUCK VICTIM

   Funeral services for Henry Dail Edwards, 3 years old, who was killed last 
Saturday by a milk truck in Norfolk county, were conducted on Monday of this 
week at the Purviance Funeral Home in Boykins by the Rev. N.B. Habel, pastor 
of the Boykins Baptist Church, and the Rev. J.W. Baggett of Oak Grove Baptist 
Church in Portsmouth.  Burial was in the Boykins Cemetery.

   Henry was a native of Franklin.

   A police report said the child ran from between parked cars into the path 
of the milk truck which was passing a double-parked bakery truck at the scene. 
He was making a purchase from the bakery truck.

   Pallbearers at the funeral were Earl Fuller, John Bryant, Joe Ricks, and 
James Futrell.

   Besides his parents he is survived by two brothers, Thomas Sullivan Edwards 
and Paul Thomas Edwards, III; two sisters, Lucy Paulette and Ann Bradshaw 
Edwards; his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Thomas Edwards, Sr., and 
his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J.S. Fuller.
