He was the husband of the late Mrs. Annie Lee Raiford Edwards, who preceded him to the grave some years ago. His parents were the late Richard and Mary Lou Lawrence Edwards of this county. The deceased was a member of Tucker's Swamp Baptist Church and of the Woodmen of the World. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Lois Edwards Hann of Zuni; two sons, Hoen M. and Talmadge Edwards, also of Zuni; and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be held from the late residence on Saturday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock, with Rev. George Kissinger of Achilles, Gloucester County, officiating, assisted by Rev. L.E. Holzbach of Wakefield. Interment will be in the family cemetery near the home place. ****************************************************************************** JOHN A. He was the husband of the late Annie Lee Rayford* Edwards and a son of the late Richard and Mary Lou Lawrence Edwards, of Southampton County. He was a member of the Tucker Swamp Baptist Church, and also a member of the Woodmen of the World. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Lois Edwards Hann of Zuni; two sons, H.M. and Talmadge Edwards, both of Zuni; five grandchildren and a number of nephews. Funeral services were held at the home Saturday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock with the Rev. George Kissinger of Achilles, assisted by the Rev. L.E. Holzbach of Wakefield, officiating. Burial was in the family plot near Zuni. ****************************************************************************** JOHN ALLEN EDWARDS Funeral services for the late John Allen Edwards, 81, who died at his home near Zuni on Thursday morning, June 22, after a brief illness, were conducted at the residence Saturday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock by Rev. George M. Kissinger of Achilles, Gloucester County, assisted by Rev. L.E. Holzbach and R.P. Welch. Interment was in the family cemetery near the home place, the active pallbearers being Dr. E.M. Babb, J.H. Clark, J.T. Faircloth, R.M. Doles, Percy Bradshaw, George Watkins, J.F. Clark and Richard Powell. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Men's Bible Class of Tucker's Swamp Baptist Church, nephews and friends of the family. Mr. Edwards, who was a prominent retired farmer of the Unity section, is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Lois Hann; two sons Hoen and Talmadge Edwards; five grandchildren, Jean, Mary Lois, Linda Lee, Annie Lee and H.M. Edwards, Jr., and four nephews, Richard, Irvin, Aurelius and Edgar Drewry.
