EDWARDS Jesse Thomas Edwards, citizen and farmer of the Franklin community, died suddenly Thursday morning at his home after a brief illness. He was 70 years of age, a native of this county and a quiet, unassuming man who was liked and esteemed by those who knew him. Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. India Crumpler Edwards; two sons, Ryland T. and Willie Claude Edwards; a daughter, Mrs. Theon A. Darden, all of the Franklin community; seven grandchildren and one brother, S.H. Edwards of Capron. Mr. Edwards was a consistent member of Sycamore Baptist Church, and funeral rites will be conducted from his home this (Friday) afternoon at 2:30 o'clock by his Pastor, the Rev. Floyd P. Davis, assisted by Rev. R.D. Stephenson of the Franklin Baptist Church. Burial will be made in the cemetery at Sycamore Church. The active pallbearers are: Lee Vaughan, W.O. Cotton, I.Q. Wiggins, Ray Vaughan, James A. Johnson, Alfred Cobb, E.L. Vaughan and James E. Daughtrey.
