JULIA WREATH JOYNER POPE EDWARDS

   CAPRON - Julia Joyner Edwards, 74, died Apr. 12, in a hospital.

   Mrs. Edwards, a Southampton County native, was a member of Capron Baptist 
church.  She was the widow of Carl Edwards Sr.

   Survivors include a son, Robert W. Pope Sr. of Courtland; a sister, Estelle 
J. Taunton of Capron; two brothers, Marion R. Joyner and Odelle Joyner, both 
of Courtland; and two grandchildren.

   The graveside service was conducted Tuesday in Capron Cemetery by the Rev. 
Russell Ford and Darrell Smith.  Memorial donations may be made to the 
American Lung Association.
