She was a daughter of Robert M. and Mrs. Frances Griffin Edwards of Southampton County. She was a member of Ivor Baptist Church, and had been active in all phases of church work for many years. Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. G.C. Nibletts of Ivor, Mrs. Proctor Barrett of Altavista and Mrs. H.W. Stephenson of Atlanta, Ga., one niece and one nephew. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Holland Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Horace Twine, pastor of Ivor Baptist church. Burial will in Poplar Spring Cemetery, Franklin. ****************************************************************************** MABEL FUCHSIA EDWARDS Miss Mabel Fuchsia Edwards, 79, of Ivor died in Leigh Memorial Hospital, Norfolk, on Wednesday night, April 2. Miss Edwards was the daughter of the late Robert M. and Frances Griffin Edwards. She was a member of the Ivor Baptist Church. A sister of the late Mrs. J.J. Bristow of Franklin, she is survived by three sisters, Mrs. G.C. Niblett of Ivor, Mrs. Proctor Barrett of Altavista, and Mrs. Warren Stephenson of Atlanta, Ga.; also by one nephew and one niece. Funeral services for Miss Edwards were held in the chapel of W.J.M. Holland & Sons on Saturday afternoon at 3 o’clock, with Rev. Horace Twine, pastor of the Ivor Baptist Church, officiating. Interment was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Active pallbearers were William O. Bristow, Jr., Garland Davis, Jimmie Fisher, Burton McLemore, G.E. Pillow, J.W. Pulley, Jr., Marsden Pulley and Russell West.
