GRIFFIN EDWARDS Mrs. Nelia Griffin Edwards, aged 74 years, a lifelong resident of Southampton County, died Wednesday night, January 21, after a brief illness at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W.T. Worrell, near Courtland. She was the widow of the late P.B. Edwards Sr., of this county, and the daughter of the late Benjamin and Nelia Griffin*, also of the county. She was a member of the Capron Baptist Church, in which she served for many years. Mrs. Edwards is survived by five sons, P.B. Edwards, Jr., W.B. Edwards, and C.F. Edwards, all of Joyner, J.D. Edwards of Capron, and L.R. Edwards of Emporia; three daughters, Mrs. P.T. Blood of Richmond, Mrs. W.T. Worrell of Courtland, and Mrs. J.N. Johnson of Emporia; one sister, Mrs. L.P. Williams of Capron; and thirteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted this (Friday) afternoon at 2:30 o’clock from the home of Mrs. Worrell by Rev. H.B.
