R. L. Edwards, 70, Dies At Home 

  Robert L. Edwards, 70, died at 8:30 this morning at the home of Henry E. 
Parker, on 111 Hill street. 

  Funeral services will be held at the R.W. Baker Funeral Home Thursday 
morning at 10 o'clock, the Rev. A.P. Thompson conducting the services. 

  Burial will be made in the Sycamore Church cemetery.

His maternal uncle "Joe" Joseph S. EDWARDS is buried in Row 2, Plot 4. 
   (MV-IV-33) 

D.Cert. 26654 (Franklin #331) gives his father as Britton. 

His father's name appear variously as Albridgton/Albridston/Albritton. 

He 1m. Martha BEALE 9 Jan 1839.  (Southampton Co. M.Reg. p. 711) 
   He & Robert's mother Mary Ann EDWARDS obtained a m.lic. 17 Feb 1859.  
   (Southampton Co. MB1:63) 

The family appears in the 1900 Census - Franklin Dist., Southampton Co. - 
   which gives Robert as b. Feb 1869.
