ROGER LEE EDWARDS

   Roger Edwards, 55, well-known farmer of the Black Creek community, died 
Saturday afternoon at Raiford Hospital after an illness of several months. 
He was the son of the late William and Mrs. Louise Edwards of this county, 
and was a member of Black Creek Baptist Church.

   Surviving his are one daughter, Miss Charlotte Edwards; four brothers, 
William Crawley C., and Hurley Edwards of Franklin and Davis S. Edwards of 
Zuni, and a sister, Mrs. Percy Bradshaw.

   Funeral services were held from Black Creek Baptist Church Monday afternoon 
at 3 o'clock, conducted by his pastor, Rev. W.B. Watson, with burial following 
in the church cemetery.  The pallbearers were: Charlie Holland, A.E. Drewry, 
Charlie Bulls, M.H. Lowe, Raby Beale, Leland Beale, J.E. Branch and S.C. 
Bristow.
