STANLEY NICHOLSON EDWARDS

   NORFOLK - Funeral services for Stanley Nicholson Edwards, 65, were held 
Friday in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Milford 
C. Rollins.  Burial was in the Poplar Spring cemetery, Franklin.

   The husband of Murial Langley Edwards and a native of Franklin died 
Wednesday in a hospital.

   He was the son of Daisy Nicholson Edwards of Norfolk.

   He was a retired 30-year agent of Prudential Life Insurance Co.  He was a 
member of St. John’s United Methodist Church and the Wards Corner Lions Club 
and a 40-year member of the civic league bowling club.

   Other survivors include two daughters, Patricia Edwards Lassiter of 
Houston, Texas and Elaine E. Edwards of Virginia Beach; a sister, Evelyn 
Edwards Brumwright of Virginia Beach; and two grandchildren.
