All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ TYLER EDWARDS Funeral services for Tyler Edwards, 76, prominent farmer of the Franklin area who died in Raiford Memorial Hospital yesterday, will be conducted tomorrow at 3 p.m. at the Holland Funeral Home in Franklin. Mr. Edwards suffered a stroke several weeks ago. The services will be conducted by the Rev. L.M. Kanipe, pastor of Sycamore Baptist Church and Dr. J.R. Johnson of Lynchburg. Burial will be in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Mr. Edwards was the husband of Mrs. Junie Cobb Edwards, who preceded him in death March 14 of this year. He was the son of the late Mills Riddick and Sue Bowden Edwards, of Southampton County. He was a member of the Holly Camp No. 19, Woodmen of the World, and the Sycamore Baptist Church, near here, where he had served as deacon for the last 30 years. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Edwards Moody, of Franklin; two sons, Clyde Tyler Edwards and Mills Carlyle Edwards, both of Franklin; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren; a brother, M.L. Edwards of Franklin; two sisters, Mrs. John M. Smith, of Fayetteville, N.C., and Mrs. G.C. Brothers of Whaleyville, and a number of nieces and nephews.
