He was a retired farmer. He was the son of Peter B. and Mrs. Nellie Griffin Edwards. Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Bettie Worrell of Courtland, Mrs. Lucy Blood of Richmond, and Mrs. Carrie Johnson of Emporia; and three borthers, Jim Edwards and Carl Edwards of Capron and Luther Edwards of Emporia. A funeral service will be held today at 3 p.m. in Capron Cemetery by the Rev. Charles B. Spivey and the Rev. Dovel K. Spell. Echols Funeral Home, Emporia, has charge.
