All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ WILLIAM TAYLOE EDWARDS William Tayloe Edwards, age 55, died February 18 at Saunders’ Memorial Hospital, Florence, S.C., following an illness of a few days. He is survived by three brothers, B.C. Edwards and Paul W. Edwards of Newport News, M.K. Edwards of Rocky Mount, N.C., and one sister, Mrs. B.W. Massey of Florence, S.C. Mr. Edwards was for many years a resident of Boykins, his wife who was Miss Rosa Knight, of that town, dying several years ago. Funeral services were conducted from the residence of H.F. Knight in Boykins at 2 o’clock Friday afternoon with Rev. Frank B. Handley and Rev. R.L. Haga officiating. The choir of the Baptist Church sang, "Lead Kindly Light" and Mrs. H.M. Purviance sang "Shadows." Interment was made in Beechwood Cemetery with Boykins Lodge A.F. & A.M. No. 287 having charge of the services. The pallbearers were: R.C. Knight, C.T. Beaton, James Knight, W. Hugh Powel, H.F. Knight and A.L. Knight.
