JOSEPH THOMAS ELEY

Joseph Thomas Eley, Sr., 88, of 3717 Princeton Place, Apt L-1, a native of 
Southampton County and a retired carpenter of Dunn Marine Railway, died 
Tuesday in his home.  He was a member of Parkview Baptist Church.  Survivors 
include a daughter, Mrs. H. P. Reynolds of Portsmouth; three sons, Henry G. 
Eley of Battery Park, and Joseph T. Eley, Jr. and Raymond W. Eley of 
Portsmouth; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.  A funeral 
service will be held Thursday at 2 pm in Olive Branch Cemetery by Dr. Thomas 
J. Powers.  Snellings Funeral Home has charge.  The family will be at 4825 
Manor Ave.
