He was a member of Parkview Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. H. P. Reynolds of Portsmouth; three sons, Henry G. Eley of Battery Park, and Joseph T. Eley, Jr. and Raymond W. Eley of Portsmouth; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 pm in Olive Branch Cemetery by Dr. Thomas J. Powers. Snellings Funeral Home has charge.
