MAMIE HARCUM ELEY 

Mrs. Mamie Harcum Eley, 80, of 3717 Princeton Place, Apt L-1, died Tuesday at 
6:50 pm in a hospital.  A native of Franklin, she lived here 25 years.  She 
was the wife of Joseph Thomas Eley, Sr. and a daughter of Orris Wilson and 
Mrs. Rosa Leigh Simmons Harcum.  She was a member of Park View Baptist Church. 
Besides her husband, surviving are a daughter, Mrs. H.P. Reynolds, Sr. of 
Portsmouth and Mrs. L. T. Hathaway of Norfolk; a brother, O. L. Harcum of 
Windsor; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.  A funeral service 
will be held Thursday at 12:30 pm in Snellings Funeral Home by Dr. Thomas J. 
Powers with burial in Olive Branch Cemetery.  The family will be at 3120 
Rollen Drive.
